“The Digital Transformation of Electricity Networks”

The RTE Chair is a partnership between RTE and CentraleSupélec. The construction of the Chair has been starting in 2016 and is official since 2017, for a period of 5 years. In May 2022 this has been renewed for 5 years.

From 2017 to 2019 the RTE Chair was led by Samson Lasaulce and is currently coordinated by Sorin Olaru.

To make significant progress towards the digital transformation of electricity networks, transmission networks, in particular, our vision is to involve 3 labs (L2S, GEEPS, and CIDRE) and put in full synergy at least 4 disciplines  :

• Communications and signal processing;
• Control and decision;
• Power systems;
• Computer Science.
